Waterfront Gallery Spring Update
Greetings from Two Harbors, Minnesota.
Spring has definitely sprung. Lake Superior is wide open and the
first thousand foot ore boat is already here in the harbor. We
want to thank each and every one of you for your loyalty and friendship;
we’ve loved getting to know you. When it comes to art, books,
photo classes, jewelry, music, framing, photo restoration and
reproduction, you have a choice. Thank you for making us yours!
If you made it to one of our many events or exhibit
openings, you know how much fun they are. We have an exciting
new year of exhibits and events to share with you, as well as
a wonderful mix of new products you’re sure to love. Check
out the great lineup of photo classes and adventure workshops
by ColdSnap too!
EXHIBITS and EVENTS:
Exhibit of Lake Superior Images, by Val Doherty and John
Gregor; exhibit is ongoing. Watch for fantastic new images of
Lake Superior and the Lake Superior Basin.
Tuscan Dream Exhibit, by Val Doherty and John Gregor, presently
showing at the gallery through April. This exhibit is a result
of the photographers’ exploration of the Tuscan Countryside
in Italy. Come and enjoy the depth, as well as a bit of humor
in this very special fine art exhibit.
TCACCC Spring Break Event, Arden Hills, Minnesota. THE
TWIN CITIES AREA COUNCIL OF CAMERA CLUBS, and its fifteen
affiliated clubs, promote continuing education and fellowship
for those interested in photography. Waterfront Gallery and ColdSnap
Photography were proud to participate in this fun and educational
weekend event in March. If you want information about joining
a camera club in your area, please ask us, we are happy to help
you find just the right fit!
Waterfront Gallery to host volunteers during National Volunteer
Week 2008, Purple Ribbon Recognition, April 27-May 3. Welcome
participating volunteers!
Exhibit: Intimate Details. A Macro and Close-up
Photography Exhibit by Val Doherty. Watch for this exceptional
exhibit…opening Saturday, May 24. Opening reception,
4-6pm.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen,
Minnesota will host an exhibit of John Gregor photography
in June. John worked for three years on a commemorative book celebrating
the Arboretum’s100th Anniversary. Release of book, June 12.
Exhibit opens in the Reedy Gallery on June 13.
Exhibit: The Thing about Lake Superior. Photographers
Val Doherty and John Gregor join forces to present this exciting
and revealing body of work on Lake Superior. Opens Saturday,
July 5. Join us for the launch of this exhibit at an artist’s
reception, 4-6pm.
2nd Annual Arts and Antiques Crawl. Thursday,
July 10, from 5-7pm. Waterfront Gallery is proud to sponsor
this fun event. Take in the art and sip some lemonade while you
view the work of talented local artist’s. Enjoy a leisurely
walk about historic downtown Two Harbors with your friends and
neighbors and stay for Music in the Park after the Art Walk.

**We'll keep you posted on additions to the 2008 schedule. We’ve
added a fabulous three day extension to the Tuscany, Italy workshop
in September. We’ll explore and photograph the colorful
and beautiful hillside towns of the Cinque Terre. This coastal
region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Newfoundland is included
in the 2009 lineup of travel adventure workshops. All participants
raved about this trip last year and we are already nearing wait
list status due to word of mouth demand. If you are interested,
do not wait to call and put your name on the participant list.

Their work is also displayed in the permanent collections of

Val and John’s beautiful images can also be seen on the
